Portsmouth FC fan to walk between all 92 football league stadiums
A die-hard Portsmouth Football Club fan is preparing to walk between all 92 football league stadiums in a single journey for charity.
Scott McCachlan, who is part of the Portsmouth Supporters Trust team bidding to take over the club, will start walking from Fratton Park on 19th August and hopes to complete the journey in under eight months.
Scott is hoping to raise £92 000 for Prostate Cancer UK with his efforts and will also attempt to stop and watch a game at each stadium he visits.
In an interview with fansnetwork.co.uk, he thanked the football fans that have supported him so far and invited other football supporters to join him on at least part of his journey.
He said: "This Walkthe92 project relies on fan generosity in helping me achieves my goals and to also give me company as I walk the route. Without the help of fellow football fans, it will be very difficult to make the eight month trek.
"I have the help of a team of friends that are helping set up clubs and supporters groups at each club and I want to thank them for their generous help so far."
According to ccfctrust.org, the journey equates to about 2 500 miles.
