Ordnance Survey getamap has now replaced OS Explore and offers a rich new mapping experience with more tools, information and functions. If you are a registered user of Explore all your routes are now waiting for you to use in getamap, just follow the easy instructions below. 

With getamap, you can experience a whole new world of online maps, plot your own routes, print, save and share customised maps. To find out more about getamap watch the getamap video or check out the quick start guide. With getamap you can:

• Create, save and share routes and maps
• Search for ready-made routes from other members and featured brands
• Print Ordnance Survey mapping
• Find places of interest and attractions
• Check the weather and local news

OS Explore users - how to start using getamap


If you are registered with the Ordnance Survey Leisure shop

You can start using getamap now. Simply login to getamap using your existing shop email address and password.


If you haven't got an existing shop account, but you've used OS Explore to create maps and routes before

We've imported all your existing routes into getamap and you can now activate your new registration.

All you need to do is set up a new password and change your address (for security reasons we've had to change your address temporarily to Ordnance Survey HQ - so it's important that you change it as soon as possible to your current home address). Once done, you can then see all of your OS Explore routes in getamap and start creating more routes using the extra map views, features, and tools. Your account can also be used in our new-look Leisure Shop, now with outdoor clothing and accessories.

Please follow these steps to get up and running:

• Go to http://www.shop.ordnancesurveyleisure.co.uk/forgottenpassword and enter your email address for OS Explore.
• You'll then get an email from us. Click the 'Reset Password' link in the email; this takes you to the reset password page. Enter your email address and your new password.
• Login to the shop by pressing the 'Login' link in the top right of the screen.
• Once you're logged in please update your address details.
• Logout of the shop.

Your OS Explore routes have been migrated into getamap to your personal Map Folder, within the 'Other' category. You can re-categorise your routes by clicking the 'Manage' link for the route you want to change.

You can now login to getamap at www.getamap.ordnancesurveyleisure.co.uk using your email address and new password.
